From the capitol rotunda to a courtroom today for dozens of protesters who have been cited by state capitol police.

Over the past month arrests and citations have been given to protesters who have been singing in the rotunda without a permit. Now several of those given tickets will face a judge. This is at least the second round of appearances in court for protesters.

The protesters say they do not need to have a permit to gather. A judge is expected to decide if the law requiring a permit is constitutional.

That judge has already said that groups of 19 or fewer do not need a permit.
