A Deerfield man will spend nine months in jail for driving with a suspended license before a crash last year that killed a passenger on a motorcycle near Sun Prairie.

35-year old Jess Bergeron plead guilty to driving on a suspended license and causing great bodily harm in the June, 2012 crash that killed 47-year old Kim Sylvia and injured her boyfriend. Bergeron violated Nick's Law, which makes it a felony to cause death or great bodily harm to another person while driving with a revoked or suspended drivers license.
