A claim has been filed against the Madison School District, on behalf of the Bruce Dahmen estate, seeking $47 thousand dollars. Dahmen was a longtime principal at Madison Memorial, who died of an apparent heart attack in February. The claim says the money is owed because he planned to retire at the end of the year. Because Dahmen didn't submit a letter of resignation, benefits were reportedly denied . A district spokeswoman tells the Wisconsin State Journal that they are in the process of reviewing the claim.
