GE machine operator introduces Obama in Waukesha

WAUKESHA, Wis. (AP) _ Two years ago, Reggie Troop of Milwaukee had no job and a pregnant wife. Now he has a good-paying job _ one that earned a shout out from President Barack Obama during a stop in southeastern Wisconsin.

The 26-year-old Troop is a machine operator at a General Electric plant in Waukesha. He got his job through an accelerated job-training program, the sort of program Obama promoted during a speech Thursday in Waukesha (WAH'-keh-shaw).

As Troop introduced Obama, he said he felt as though he'd won the Super Bowl of life. He says meeting the president was ``remarkable,'' and he's grateful for the training program that enabled him to get a job that supports his family of four.

He says the program condensed about seven months of training into three months.
