A 28 year old Janesville man faces a long list of charges after leading area cops on a chase early this morning. It began just after 1:30 a.m. at a Mobil Gas Station on Fish Hatchery Road. Officers were attempting to make contact with a suspicious vehicle. The passenger got out of the car, but the driver slammed it in reverse and took off. While fleeing, police say he rammed a squad car twice. An officer and the passenger received minor injuries. The pursuit continued onto the Beltline and ended in Middleton with the suspect crashing on Gammon Road. The suspect, Shannon Patterson, was taken to the hospital with serious, but non life threatening injuries.
