UPDATED Monday, June 23, 2014 ---

The DOT says the John Nolen Dr. ramp to the eastbound Beltline is scheduled to open by 6:00 a.m. Tuesday, June 24th.

Turn restrictions at Rimrock Rd. and the Beltline are scheduled to end by noon that day.

Nightly lane closures will continue from 7:00 p.m. to 6:00 a.m. in both directions of the Beltline.

Due to wet conditions, the closure of the John Nolen Drive ramp to the eastbound Beltline and the turn restrictions at Rimrock Road have been rescheduled to begin 8 p.m. on Thursday (May 29).

John Nolen ramp to eastbound Beltline scheduled to close Wednesday night until June 28 Turn restrictions also in place at Rimrock interchange

The John Nolen Drive ramp to the eastbound Beltline will be closed starting at 8 p.m. on Wednesday (May 28) until June 28. Traffic will be detoured to the Rimrock Road interchange for access to the eastbound Beltline.

Turn restrictions will also be in place at the Rimrock interchange to accommodate the detoured John Nolen traffic. Off ramps will be restricted to right-turn only onto Rimrock. The northbound Rimrock left-turn to westbound Beltline will be closed.

Beltline traffic patterns near the John Nolen interchange will also be changing with the introduction of a lane split for both eastbound and westbound traffic. The lane split will be similar to the 2013 Beltline work zone between South Towne Drive and Monona Drive. Eastbound traffic will encounter one lane split to the left of the work zone and two lanes split to the right. Westbound traffic will encounter two lanes split left of the work zone and one lane to the right. Three lanes will be open in each direction from 6 a.m. to 7 p.m. weekdays.

Traffic delays and congestion are expected to be significant. Motorists are urged to use alternate interchanges and routes. The start date is weather-dependent.
