Madison Police are searching for three people following an attack at the S. Park St. McDonald's Wednesday afternoon.
Around 4:30 p.m., a woman wanted a manager to refund her money. She presented him a receipt from a different McDonald's restaurant.
The manager said he could not do that, and the woman reportedly became belligerent.
Police say she berated the employee, and ordered her “sons” to come in from a car and attack him.
The 27-year-old manager said two men hopped the counter. The victim was knocked to the floor.
He told police one man punched him while the other tried to hit him with a coffee pot. It broke, splattering hot coffee everywhere and burning the manager's arm.
Police say the woman and the men, who may not be her sons, jumped into a car with Illinois plates and fled. It is described as a green, late 1990's model Pontiac Bonneville.
While the victim was burned, he was not seriously hurt.
Anyone with information on the identity of the woman and two men is asked to call Madison Area Crime Stoppers at 266-6014.
