MADISON--A man accused of stabbing his live-in girlfriend multiple times appeared in court Tuesday. Bail is set at $300,000 for Eric Prunn. He's accused of stabbing his girlfriend at their home in the 3700 block of Brigham Ave. early on Sunday morning.

The woman did survive, though she reportedly has 29 stab wounds.

Prunn is set to appear in court again Wednesday afternoon.

Officers were sent to a stabbing in the 3700 block of Brigham Ave, upon arrival officers found a  white female in her early thirties with multiple stab wounds to her upper body  inside the residence. The victim was transported to a local hospital where she is was taken into surgery for her injuries. The victim is currently in stable condition. Officers took her live in boyfriend a forty year old white male into custody and transported him to the East district police  where the suspect gave a full statement to detectives assigned to the investigation. Upon completion of the interview the suspect was  transported to the Dane County jail  and booked into the jail on felony charges.  The investigation continues at this hour.




MADISON, Wis. (AP) _ Authorities say a Madison woman was stabbed multiple times in her upper body, and her live-in boyfriend is in custody.

Madison police say they were called to the woman's home on the city's far east side early Sunday, and found the woman with multiple stab wounds.

She was taken to a local hospital and is undergoing surgery. Police say the woman is in her 30s and is in stable condition.

Police arrested her 40-year-old boyfriend. The investigation is ongoing.
