Mineral Point Road (near West Towne Mall)
Male, age 15, Madison Pedestrian was transported to a hospital with what appeared to be non life-threatening injuries. He was cited for Sudden Pedestrian Movement
A 15-year old boy was transported to a local hospital with what appeared to be non life-threatening injuries following a car versus pedestrian crash over the noon hour. The teen was among a group of young people trying to cross Mineral Point Road at S. Gammon Road. They began on the West Towne Mall side of S. Gammon Road, and had successfully gotten across eastbound lanes of Mineral Point Rd. They were waiting on an island, or median, as westbound traffic – again on Mineral Point Rd. - had a green light. The injured teen was struck after he darted out in front of a car. Its driver, a 69-year old Cross Plains woman, did not have time to stop. She was not cited.
