Track was about 2 miles west of Platteville, running through the UW Platteville campus, to 2 miles southeast of Plattevile, ending right before U.S. Highway 151. Severe storms leave behind damage in Dane and surrounding counties, from a system that hit in force around midnight. There are no reports of serious injuries from Dane County's Emergency Management Office, or from officials in Madison. Much of the damage in Madison appears to be on the city's West Side in the Shorewood Hills area, although significant damage reports are coming in involving two structures in the 1400 block of East Washington Avenue.

Substantial damage also reported in Verona, specifically near Cross Country Rd and Tamarack Way. Countryview Elementary partially collapsed.

In Platteville, extensive damage has also been reported, including UW Platteville. The campus will be closed today(Tuesday).

According to officials with Dane Co Emergency Management, the National Weather Service reported a pattern consistent with a tornado was spotted near Verona at 12:10 a.m. Officials say imagery indicates a tornado likely cycled from Green County into Dane County.
