The U.S. Postal Service plans to close four Wisconsin distribution centers.
The Eau Claire Leader-Telegram reports a distribution center in that city will close next year. The newspaper reports the facility employed 110 people in 2011. Its operations will move to a St. Paul, Minn., sorting center.
Wausau Daily Herald Media, meanwhile, reports the postal service plans to close a distribution center in Rothschild next year as well.
That center handles almost all of central Wisconsin's mail. It employed 163 workers in 2012. The postal service says no jobs will be lost. The workers will all be reassigned.
Both media outlets also reports centers in La Crosse and Madison are slated to close as well.
