Victim identified in fatal crash near Lodi

Columbia Co. Deputies have identified the driver killed in a Tuesday afternoon crash as 18-year-old Rachelanne Bradbury of rural Sauk City.

The crash happened on Highway 188 at Smith Park Rd.


On November 5th, 2013 at 2:16pm the Columbia County Sheriff’s Office was notified of a single car crash on STH 188 at Smith Park Road. This location is approximately 10 miles northwest of the City of Lodi.

The preliminary investigation confirms that a passenger car was travelling south on STH 188 and veered off of the road overturning in a deep ditch. The driver was ejected during the crash. The Columbia County Medical Examiner’s Office pronounced the driver deceased at the scene of the crash. The driver was not wearing a seat belt. Information concerning the vehicle’s speed is unknown at this time.

The Sheriff’s Office was assisted by Lodi Shell, Lodi Fire Department, Lodi EMS, Sauk-Prairie Fire Department, the Lodi Police Department, the Columbia County Medical Examiner’s Office, the Columbia County Highway Department, and the Sauk County Medical Examiner’s Office.
