THE NATIONAL WEATHER SERVICE IN MILWAUKEE/SULLIVAN HAS ISSUED A WINTER WEATHER ADVISORY FOR SNOW...FREEZING RAIN AND SLEET...WHICH IS IN EFFECT FROM 3 AM TO NOON CST THURSDAY. * TIMING...WINTRY MIX ARRIVES AFTER 3 AM TONIGHT AND CONTINUES THROUGH ABOUT MID MORNING ON THURSDAY...THEN CHANGES OVER TO MAINLY RAIN. * SNOW AND ICE ACCUMULATIONS...AN INCH OR LESS OF SNOW...BUT WE SHOULD SEE ABOUT .10 TO .20 OF AN INCH OF ICE AND SLEET. * WINDS...SOUTHEAST 10 TO 15 MPH ON THURSDAY...SHIFTING TO SOUTHWEST TO WEST THURSDAY NIGHT AND INCREASING TO 20 TO 30 MPH WITH GUSTS TO 45 MPH. * IMPACTS...TRAVEL WILL BECOME HAZARDOUS THURSDAY MORNING DUE TO THE WINTRY MIX OF SNOW...FREEZING RAIN AND SLEET. PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS... A WINTER WEATHER ADVISORY MEANS THAT PERIODS OF SNOW...SLEET...OR FREEZING RAIN WILL CAUSE TRAVEL DIFFICULTIES.
