MADISON, Wis. (AP) -- A judge has sentenced a Wisconsin man to 27 years in state prison for drugging and sexually assaulting eight women.

Dane County Circuit Judge William Hanrahan handed down 29-year-old Brian Stowe's sentence Friday. Stowe pleaded guilty to 27 felony counts in December.

The judge said Stowe will first serve 15 years in federal prison from a sentence handed down in January, and then 27 more in state prison.

Police arrested the Madison resident in 2012 after a 17-year-old girl reported that Stowe drugged and sexually assaulted her as she lay unconscious in bed.

Police discovered images and videos of the other women on his computer. Six of the eight victims were co-workers at an area software company.
