Snow storm closes schools, makes travel difficult

MADISON, Wis. (AP) _ Madison, Tomah and Viroqua schools are among those canceling classes because of a winter storm that's expected to deliver 10 inches of snow in parts of Wisconsin.

The National Weather Service issued a winter storm warning Wednesday for more than a half-dozen counties, many in western Wisconsin. The snowfall is expected to diminish around 6 p.m.

Temperatures will remain fairly steady in the low- to mid-30s. The wet, heavy snow will make it hard to shovel.
