Madison Police Chief Mike Koval says a 33-year-old Madison man is in critical condition after an armed home invasion.

The man was taken to a trauma hospital, and is being treated for life threatening injuries.

Two other victims were at the residence at the time of the shooting, one of which was allegedly punched in the incident prior to the shooting.

The two other victims are currently being interviewed by investigators with MPD.

Investigators believe there were three to four suspects involved in the home invasion, and say they hope the cameras around the complex caught the suspects on camera.

Police continue to canvas the scene at this hour, and say they aren't sure of the motive at this time.
