Man who fell at Devil's Lake Pk identified

UPDATE (WKOW) -- The Wisconsin Department of Natural Resources released a statement Monday offering condolences and findings from an investigation after the accidental death of a Madison man at Devil's Lake State Park over the weekend.

Officials say the victim has been identified by the Sauk County Medical Examiner as 27-year-old Macklin Nesst.

According to the DNR, Nesst was at the park climbing a rock feature known as "Devil's Doorway" around 6:15 when he fell.

CPR was started immediately after the fall, and called for EMS. Nesst was later pronounced dead at the scene by Sauk County officials.
