Man accused of driving dump truck drunk and leading deputies on a chase

A Dodge County man faces two felonies after authorities say he led deputies on a chase in a dump truck.

New video shows the chase and the challenge this suspect put right in the path of his pursuers.

Authorities say 34-year-old Theodore Tamminga was wanted in a disturbance Wednesday night.

He got into a dump truck and wouldn't stop when deputies tried to pull him over on Highway G outside of Randolph.

At one point, Tamminga raised the bed and dumped out dirt and rocks.

Eventually, Tamminga put the bed down, but continued taking dangerous chances.

The chase ended when the truck went off the road and got stuck in a muddy field.

Deputies arrested the driver Tamminga.

Authorities say they were thankful to get him off the road and were glad no one was hurt.

Tamminga is charged with operating while intoxicated, fleeing an officer and operating while revoked.

A judge set his bond at $50,000 cash.
