MOUNT HOREB (WKOW) -- The Mount Horeb Family Aquatic Center is closed Wednesday and Thursday to treat the pools after confirming a case of cryptosporidium.

According to its Facebook page, the center says a letter from Public Health Madison and Dane County received a confirmed report of a Cryptosporidiosis infection in a person who swam at the pools. They're letting people know they may be been exposed if they swam in the pools anytime from June 23-July 11.

According to the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention, Cryptosporidiosis is a diarrheal disease that can cause stomach cramps, dehydration, nausea, vomiting, fever and weight loss.
