Man stabbed while trying to break up fight on Madison's North Side

MADISON (WKOW) — A man was stabbed in Madison early Friday morning as he tried to break up a fight, according to the Madison Police Department.

Authorities said the disturbance happened at 2500 Calypso Road at about 12:20 a.m.

When officers got to the scene they found a 34-year-old man with a stab wound to the chest. He was taken to the hospital. His injury is not believed to be life threatening.

Investigators learned the victim was trying to break up a disturbance when he was stabbed. The suspect ran away and hasn’t been found.

Steps are being made to identify the suspect.
