Woman, man arrested for stabbing incident at Monona gas station

MONONA (WKOW) — Authorities say two people are in custody after a reported stabbing at a Monona gas station.

According to Monona police, officers arrived at the Kwik Trip on E. Broadway around 5:15 a.m. Sunday after a report of a stabbing. They found a man who had been stabbed and a woman with a knife. The officers pointed a taser and a less-lethal shotgun at the woman. She took the knife out of her pocket and was arrested without incident, according to police.

Police say the woman claimed the man agreed to pay her for sex and then refused to pay her the full amount. The man claims she pulled a knife on him when he dropped her off, then demanded money. He said she stabbed him in the hand as they argued in his vehicle.

Tanisha R. Fowler, 35, was arrested for armed robbery, false imprisonment, negligent handling of a weapon and prostitution. Gregory A. Moriva, 51, was also arrested for prostitution.
