Woman arrested for 4th OWI: didn't realize deputies were trying to stop her

TOWN OF VERONA (WKOW) — A Madison woman was arrested for her fourth offense OWI after Dane County deputies were trying to stop her early Tuesday morning.

Sheriff’s officials say around 12:15 a.m., deputies responded to a traffic complaint for a possible intoxicated driver in the area of the Beltline and John Nolen Drive.

They say initially, 58-year-old Jeanne E. Gebhardt, failed to stop for deputies as she not realize they were trying to stop her. They say Gebhardt eventually stopped on US Highway 151 and County Highway PB in the town of Verona.

Gebhardt was arrested and booked into the Dane County Jale on the felony charge. She was also issued several traffic citations, according to authorities.
