New Lisbon principal pleads no contest to disorderly conduct charges

A principal with the New Lisbon School District has pleaded no contest to disorderly conduct in relation to an incident with a student.

Gary Syftestad was charged with misdemeanor battery and disorderly conduct, but the first charge was dismissed Tuesday in Juneau County Circuit Court. According to court records, Syftestad pleaded no contest to the second charge of disorderly conduct. He has a restitution hearing scheduled for August 16.
