Police investigating second report of possibly naked, very tan burglar

MADISON (WKOW) — For the second time in two days, police are investigating a stranger who got into an apartment and was described as possibly being very tan and naked.

In the first incident about 6 a.m. Monday, a victim was woken up by a suspectwho they said was, “bald, very skinny, naked and very tanned.”

The suspect then went through the victim’s wallet on the dresser and took the cash in it before leaving, according to a Madison police incident report.

Then about 3:30 a.m. Tuesday, police say a stranger with a similar description entered an apartment in the 300 block of N. Bassett St.

Several officers responded and cleared the building which contains several apartments.

No suspect was found, but it appeared the intruder entered the victim’s apartment through a housemate’s window. The housemate was not home at the time.

The victim described the man as being 6′ to 6’3″ tall, with a bald or shaved head. He had an athletic build and appeared to be either a tanned white man or an African American man with a lighter complexion.

She said he was either naked or wearing some type of skin-tight suit. He did not speak and fled as the victim screamed.

Detectives are looking to see if this case might be connected to the burglary a day earlier.
