Madison police arrest hotel worker for threating coworkers

Madison police arrested a man for threatening to hurt his coworkers at a downtown hotel Friday morning.

Officers arrested Mark Moffat around 7 a.m. at a North Webster Street hotel for making "domestic terrorist threats," according to an incident report.

Moffat allegedly told two coworkers he wanted to "harm others and possibly himself after getting into a dispute at work," police said. He supposedly made the threats over text and Facebook Messenger.

Moffat works for AC Hotel downtown. Other staff quickly reported the threats to authorities.

Other temporary charges against Moffat include unlawful use of a computer communications system and disorderly conduct
