Three vehicles hit, no one hurt in Madison shooting

Gunfire struck at least three cars during a shooting on Madison's south side.

Police took reports at 2:17 p.m. Tuesday for a shooting near the intersection of South Park Street and West Olin Avenue, according to a police incident report.

Two people not involved in the gunfire told officers bullets hit their vehicles. No injuries have been reported. Authorities found at least a dozen shell casings.

Witnesses said a gunman fired from a white car at another. Officers found a dark sedan parked nearby "with apparent bullet damage."

A witness said several teens ran from the sedan.

Police do not know if the shooting was targeted.
