One new death connected to COVID-19 in Dane County reported Tuesday

Health officials have reported one new death connected to COVID-19 in Dane County Tuesday, bringing the total to 13.

Despite that, there were only six new cases of COVID-19 reported since yesterday by Public Health Madison Dane County. That brings the total confirmed cases to 348.

Health officials say the number of recoveries are difficult to track, because most patients are sent home to recuperate.

The total number of tests administered is 6,500 in Dane County.

The health department updates the numbers daily at 8:30 a.m. and 4:30 p.m.

The Wisconsin Department of Health Services updates statewide numbers daily at 1:30 p.m.

As of Tuesday afternoon, DHS is reporting 170 dead statewide, although the actual number changes throughout the day as individual counties report their own results.

There have been 3,355 confirmed cases of COVID-19 in the state. Negative tests were 37,997.
