Federal lawsuit challenges local 'Safer-at-Home' orders

Seventeen Wisconsin residents have filed a federal lawsuit alleging local orders that took effect after the Wisconsin supreme court last week tossed governor Evers statewide safer at home order is unconstitutional. The lawsuit names 21 state and local public safety and health officials, including governor Evers, and all members of the state elections commission, as defendants.

Dane County Executive Joe Parisi, whose health officer was named in the suit, said the county would "vigorously defend" itself.
