Madison, WI. --- April 8, 2018
At approximately 7:28 p.m. on April 8, 2018, Dane County Deputies, Middleton Fire and EMS,
and UW Med flight, responded to a two vehicle crash in the Town of Dane on STH 113 at Lee
Road. Preliminary investigation indicates a 1999 Chrysler sedan driven by a 35 year old male
was southbound on STH 113 when it crossed the centerline and struck a 2007 Ford van driven by
a 60 year old female that was traveling northbound on STH 113. Both drivers were wearing their
seatbelts and both vehicles airbags deployed as a result of the crash.
Both drivers died at the scene. The names of the deceased will be released by the Dane County
Medical Examiner’s Office, pending family notification. The cause of the crash is still under
investigation by the Dane County Sheriff’s Office
