MADISON (WKOW) -- Madison police have released a surveillance image of a man they say is connected to an attempted burglary early May 3, 2018.
The person was captured on video inside the victim's apartment building about 4 a.m. when a resident's cat meowed, alerting the resident that someone was in her West Washington Avenue apartment.
The woman told police she must have startled the burglar and he took off with her wallet. The victim told an officer she realized she had forgotten to lock her door.
The suspect is described as male, white, 6' to 6'3", wearing a dark-colored baseball cap and long-sleeve shirt or jacket.
