FITCHBURG (WKOW) -- Fitchburg police are investigating the deaths of two people Wednesday morning in a Fitchburg apartment.
Police were called at 8:23 a.m. to the 3000 block of Yarmouth Greenway Drive for a welfare check. Upon arrival officers discovered two Fitchburg residents who were dead. One was a 38-year-old woman and the other a 34-year-old man.
Police are currently are conducting an investigation into the circumstances surrounding this incident, but the deaths are not suspicious in nature and there is no threat to the community.
Assistance was provided by the Madison Police Department along with the Dane County Medical Examiner’s Office.
The individual’s names are being withheld at this time pending the notification of family members.
