UPDATE (WKOW) -- A news release from the Dane County Sheriff's office Sunday confirms one person has died in a single-car crash.
The accident happened a little after 7:30 Sunday morning on Peerless Road, just south of Ridge Drive in the Town of Primrose.
A 22-year old woman from New Glarus woman was pronounced dead at the scene.
The sheriff's department's preliminary report shows she was going south on Peerless Road when the car left the road, went down an embankment and struck a tree.
The crash investigation is ongoing.
