MADISON (WKOW) -- A man received minor injuries during an armed robbery at a park in Madison Tuesday night, according to the Madison Police Department.
Police were called to Demetral Park on Scofield Street at North 8th Street at about 11:30 p.m.
The victim told officials the suspect was holding a knife and demanded "everything the victim had." The suspect who had a black handkerchief on his face implied he had a gun.
When the 41-year-old victim told the suspect he didn't have anything to give, the suspect slashed at the man, causing a minor injury. The suspect took a clothing item from the man and left the scene.
The suspect is being described as a man, possibly white or Hispanic, about 6 foot 3 inches tall, around 280 pounds, wearing red shorts, a black shirt, a black handkerchief and a scruffy face.
The investigation is ongoing.
