FITCHBURG (WKOW) -- Police in Dane County are looking for a man after shots were fired Wednesday night, according to the Fitchburg Police Department.
Authorities said they responded to the 4500 block of Thurston Lane at about 10 p.m. after getting multiple calls about shots being fired in the area.
Shell casings were located and officers were able to determine the shooting was related to a fight involving a group of females.
The suspect accused of shooting the gun is described as a black man, 25 to 30-years-old. He may have dreadlocks and be wearing a neck brace.
Witnesses said the man shot a gun toward the group of women and left the area in a van.
There are no reports of injuries at this time.
