(Washington, DC) -- House Speaker Paul Ryan is taking issue with President Trump's claims about Russian interference in the 2016 presidential election.
In Finland Monday, Trump was asked whether he believed the conclusion of his Director of National Intelligence Dan Coats that Russia interfered in the 2016 campaign. The President said Putin told him it's not Russia and Trump "doesn't see any reason why it would be."
In a statement yesterday, Wisconsin Republican Ryan said there is no question that Russia interfered in the election and continues efforts to undermine democracy in the U.S. and around the world. He said President Trump must appreciate that Russia is "not our ally."
