WEST ALLIS (WISN) -- For a second year, a Waukesha restaurant took home first place in a Wisconsin State Fair food competition.
The 2018 Sporkies winner is Albanese's Roadhouse after whipping up deep-fried spinach lasagna bites.
Slim McGinn's PBR Park took home second for french onion soup on a stick. The Budweiser Pavilion got third for the porkSTACKular sandwich.
"We learned a lot from last year and getting more prepared. We didn't know what it was all about. So it helped getting our foot in the door last year, but everyone else was fantastic. It was a great honor." said Joey Albanese, with Albanese's.
Albanese says they are more prepared as they are expecting longer lines for the remaining fair days, now that they've received another Golden Spork Award.
