The Shell gas station on University Avenue in Madison was robbed early Sunday morning. Investigators say a man wearing a black hooded jacket came into the store around 3:30 a.m. He went behind the counter and held a knife to the throat of the clerk. He demand money from the cash register. The clerk gave him money. The man ran off. The clerk was not hurt.
