Officers, Deputies who fired at WTS Paradigm active shooter identified

All deputies and officers who fired at WTS paradigm active shooter on September 19th have been identified.

The two deputies are Deputy David Lambrecht and Deputy Matthew Earll.

Deputy Lambrecht, age 49, has been with the Dane County Sheriff’s Office for 21 years and is currently assigned to the Traffic Team.

Deputy Earll, age 46, has been with the Dane County Sheriff’s Office for 11 years. He is currently assigned to Child Support Enforcement.

As standard policy, both deputies are on paid administrative leave until the investigation is complete and the District Attorney has made a ruling.

(WKOW) — The two Middleton Police Officers who fired their weapons at the shooter in the WTS Paradigm active shooter incident on September 19 have been identified. The two officers are Officer Richard O’Connor and Officer Tyler Loether.

Both Officers are on paid administrative leave until the investigation is completed and the District Attorney’s office has made a ruling.

Officer O’Connor has been with the Middleton Police Department since 1998. Officer O’Connor is assigned to day shift patrol, is a former School Resource Officer at Middleton High School. He is a member of the Middleton Police Training Team, he is a state certified firearms instructor and is an Active Shooter Response Trainer and Less Lethal Instructor.

Officer Loether has been with the department since 2012. Officer Loether is the current School Resource Officer at Middleton High School. He is a member of the Middleton Police Training Team.
