UPDATE (WKOW) — Officials with the Dane County Sheriff’s Office told 27 News that crews from multiple area fire departments helped put out the flames.
Right now, the Deerfield Fire Department is still on scene. The house fire is now under control.
Right now, the cause of the fire does not appear to be suspicious, according to the sheriff’s office. However, the investigation is ongoing.
There were no injuries from the fire, but several pets may not have made it out of the home. The home appears to be a total loss.

UPDATE (WKOW) — A woman was able to escape a house fire in Deerfield early Thursday morning, according to officials on the scene.
Firefighters say the fire is now under control at the home on County Highway W.
Crews will continue to investigate, but they do not think this fire is suspicious.
