An 18 year old has plead guilty to a fatal shooting in Fitchburg. Joshua McInnis was convicted of first degree reckless homicide on Tuesday. Charges of first degree interntional homicide and armed robbery, as well as a child abuse charge were dropped in a deal with prosecutors.
McInnis shot and killed 20 year old Julian Patterson outside of the New Fountains Apartments earlier this year. The incident stemmed from a drug deal.
Travon Jackson and Gary Mays robbed the victim and his girlfriend of marijuana. Jackson plead guilty in July to multiple charges and recieved five years in prison. Mays has been scheduled for trial next month.
