UDPATE (WKOW) — One person is dead after a bad crash that forced authorities to close a three mile stretch of U.S. Highway 12 for more than three hours Wednesday night.
An SUV and a sedan crashed at the intersection of the highway and Airport Road just before 7:00 p.m. The driver of the sedan died at the scene, according to Jefferson County Sheriff Paul Milbrath. The driver and passenger in the SUV have serious injuries. Milbrath says they’re receiving treatment at UW Hospital in Madison. The Sheriff’s Office has not released victims’ names.
