BROWN DEER (WKOW) — Security footage shows someone trying to break into an ATM using a blowtorch.
This happened around 3 a.m. Thursday in Brown Deer, which is north of Milwaukee.
Police say the suspect tried for about five minutes but couldn’t get in, so he took off. He left about $5,000 in damage to the ATM.
Investigators believe he was working with a woman who’s also a suspect in another attempted ATM theft in Milwaukee.
