Shots fired into home with pregnant woman inside on Madison's North Side

MADISON (WKOW) — Police are looking for who fired shots at a home on the north side of Madison late Sunday night, while a pregnant woman was inside.

Police say shortly before 11:55 p.m. officers were sent to the 4000 block of Claire Street for a report of shots fired into an occupied home. They say a 36-year-old man and a 41-year-old pregnant woman were sitting in their living room watching television when multiple shots were fired at and into their home.

At least two bullets came through the picture window and traveled through the living room to a back wall, according to police.

Police say the man was hit with flying glass but “otherwise uninjured” and the pregnant woman was not hurt.

The incident remains under investigation. Police ask anyone with information to contact them or the Madison Area Crimestoppers program immediately.
