MADISON (WKOW) — Firefighters from Madison Fire Department are on the scene of a reported fire in a commercial building on Hammersley Road, north of the intersection of Verona Rd. and The Beltline.
The fire was reported just before 9:30 p.m. The initial call was for a fire alarm call when firefighters arrived at the building they reported seeing smoke, a Dane County dispatcher tells 27 News.
Authorities at the scene tell 27 News the fire was contained shortly before 10:00 p.m. and firefighters are now assessing damage and monitoring the situation.
No word yet what caused the fire.
