Association asks for endorsement back from Supreme Court candidate

The Wisconsin Realtors Association asked Wisconsin Supreme Court candidate Brian Hagedon for their endorsement funds back. This follows reports of Hagedorn helping create a private elementary school that allows gay students to be expelled.

Other reports this weekreveal Hagedorn received more than $3,000 to give speeches to a Christian legal advocacy group that has supportedcriminalizing sodomy and sterilizing transgender people.

President of the Association Michael Theo is asking for their $18,000 endorsement back saying in a statement estate related issues were the reason for their support but “endorsement have been overshadowed by other, non-real estate related issues.”

“The real estate related issues that served as the basis for our – issues with which we do not want to be associated and that directly conflict with the principles of our organization and the values of our members,” said Theo in a statement provided to WKOW.

Hagedorn’s campaign advisor Stephan Thompson downplayed the endorsement loss.

“Madison isn’t going to decide who sits on the Wisconsin Supreme Court, the voters are,” said Thompson in a statement.

Hagedorn faces Judge Lisa Neubauer in the April 2 election. Thompson took aim at Neubauer calling her “liberal allies” will do anything to win.
