Winter weather advisory goes in effect at midnight

MADISON (WKOW) – Partly sunny skies today with sunshine returning. Highs are expected to be slightly above average this afternoon, reaching the low to mid-30s. This will be changing quickly, as soon as tonight. A system moves in late tonight and early tomorrow morning. Sleet, freezing rain, and snow will be possible with little and no accumulation tomorrow morning, but still enough to create slick conditions.

Saturday night more rain and snow will develop then later change completely over to snow. About an inch will be possible for Sunday morning. Sunday winds will pick up as a strong cold front pushes through knocking lows down into the single digits for Monday morning.

Our next snow maker will be Monday night going into Tuesday.
