MADISON (WKOW) — The Madison Police Department SWAT team is surrounding a senior living apartment after officials say a suspect forced entry into the residence and could be holding someone against their will.

Officers were called to the intersection of Schroeder Road and Struck Street at about 11:10 p.m. Tuesday for a man causing a disturbance. When they arrived, the suspect went inside an “occupied dwelling and assaulted the resident.”

At 3 a.m. the suspect was still inside the residence and authorities think he could have a weapon.

The investigation is ongoing.

MPD is asking anyone with information about this incident to call them at (608) 266-6014.
