Badger football player Quintez Cephus has been given a new trial date.
At a court conference Thursday, Cephus’ trial was set for July 29, and jury selection was also set for that same day.
Cephus is charged with sexually assaulting two UW students in his apartment in April 2018.
Cephus maintains the encounter with the women was consensual. The star wide receiver missed the entire 2018-19 season as a result of the pending case.
The trial had originally been scheduled for Februarybut was delayed.
