MILWAUKEE (WISN) — Police are investigating reports of shots fired at UW-Milwaukee Tuesday morning.
A school spokesperson tells WISN-TV the person involved was a man, and is not a student.
The school sent a safety alert around 7 a.m. to students that read:
“UWM Safe Alert: Shots fired by the fine arts loading dock. Shelter in place or avoid the area”
The school then tweeted the following update:
“UWM Safe Alert: Subject is no longer at large. Please stay away from the Fire Arts Complex.”
A viewer sent us a photo of the scene, and said several MPD squads were on the scene.
