Lame Duck laws reinstated by Wisconsin Appeals Court

An appeals court has reinstated lame-duck laws that were recently passed in Wisconsin.

A ruling made last week called the laws unconstitutional, but that was struck down Wednesday by the 3rd Distrcit Court of Appeals. The rules take power away from Democratic Governor Tony Evers and Attorney General Josh Kaul.

Evers rescinded 82 appointments that Republicans made during the lame duck session. Kaul had moved to withdraw Wisconsin from a lawsuit seeking repeal of the federal health care law.
